Via Dolorosa....Thank You Jesus!!!

This is truly one of my absolute favorite songs by the band Leeland. Via Dolorosa tells the story of the journey of Christ as he walked the Via Dolorosa. Via Dolorosa is latin for grief or way of suffering. Jesus took this journey of suffering being bruised, beaten, spit and mocked so that we may have eternal life. I know you might heard this time and time again and when Christians witness to you they'll recite John 3:16. For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, for whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Lets truly think about that before we overlook it since we heard this time and time again. Jesus suffered for us. He didn't have to He chose to. He knew what was to come since the moment  He came on this earth, He knew what was to come before He came to this earth in human form. Jesus knew the pain and suffering that He would endure, He knew what saving us from eternal death encounter, yet He chose to do it anyway. I don't know about you but that's powerful to me, that leaves me in a state of awe. Just think about it Jesus intentionally suffer for us because He loves us that much. I mean think about it. Isn't that just awesome, beyond the human language! Jesus died for us, Jesus died for me so that my soul and spirit can forever live with Him. That deserves every bit of praise from every part and bone of our body. Jesus is the only one that is sovereign in our lives. Jesus is the only one that deserves our praise. Jesus is the only one...Jesus is the only ONE! Thank you Jesus for saving me. I can never fully express to You my gratitude and appreciation...because You are so much more worthy than I. There are no words to express Your magnitude and Your holiness. Father I forever owe my life to YOU!!!
